Kansas State University provides wireless data network services for K-State students, faculty, staff, and guests. Read the Wireless Local Area Network Policy governing wireless computing at K-State.
Information Technology Services enhanced the security of the wireless network by migrating from WEP to WPA2 Enterprise.
Two WPA2 Enterprise wireless networks are available:
A current K-State eID and password is required to configure your device and access the secure wireless network. XpressConnect is an automated configuration tool that makes it easy to configure your device and connect to K-State's secure wireless network.
To configure your device using the automated configuration tool, click here.
Users having difficulty configuring their devices to use WPA2 Enterprise should contact their department IT support staff person or the IT Help Desk at 785-532-7722 or helpdesk@k-state.edu.
Campus visitors can use the KSU Guest network, which has no security and does not require an eID/password. K-State enterprise systems such as K-State Online, WebMail, iSIS, HRIS, and FIS cannot be accessed from KSU Guest.
Most of campus is covered. See Wireless Locations for details.
